Govino SA ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in line with South Africa's Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

- Contact and delivery details you provide: name, email address, phone number and shipping address.
- Order information: products purchased and order history. Card payments are processed securely by our payment providers and we do not store your full card details.
- Marketing preferences: your email address if you sign up to our newsletter.
- Technical information: cookies and basic analytics about how you use our website, to help it work properly and improve your experience.

- To process, fulfil and deliver your orders.

Who we share it with
We only share what is necessary, with: our courier partner (The Courier Guy) to deliver your order; our payment providers to process payment; Shopify, which hosts our online store; trusted service providers who help us run our business; and Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram) for advertising and measurement, as described below. We do not sell your personal information to anyone.

Our website uses cookies to keep the store working, remember your cart, and understand site usage. Some cookies and similar technologies are used for advertising and analytics, including those set by Meta (see below). You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Advertising and analytics (Meta Pixel and Conversions API)
We use Meta Business Tools, including the Meta Pixel and the Conversions API, to measure how our adverts perform and to show you more relevant adverts on Facebook and Instagram. These tools may share certain activity with Meta Platforms, Inc., such as the pages and products you view, items added to your cart, and purchases, together with technical identifiers such as your IP address and device or browser information, and, where available, a hashed (encrypted) email address used only for matching. We do not share sensitive information such as health or financial details. Meta processes this information in line with its own Privacy Policy. You can control or opt out of personalised advertising through your Facebook and Instagram ad settings, your device or browser settings, and any cookie controls we make available on our website.
Keeping your information safe
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your personal information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to its processing, and withdraw your marketing consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at sales@govino.co.za.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as needed to fulfil the purposes above and to meet legal requirements.

Our store is intended for customers aged 18 and over.
